From the Commodore

The Mary Wanda-er is in Marsh Harbour, Abaco, Bahamas, as this is being written.  I wish all our members could be here to enjoy these beautiful islands.  Those that have traversed this area already know how wonderful the Abacos are.  For those of you who have not had the pleasure, I do hope you get to explore the beauty of this area.  We made the crossing with two other sailboats and one power boat.  We have had beautiful weather and wonderful diving experiences.  Our pennant has been flying proudly in the Abacos again as it has many times before.  I miss the fellowship of our club members and look forward to seeing you this summer.  The Mary Wanda-er should be back in home port by the 16th of June.  I hope to see you on the docks and I wish all of you a wonderful summer.

Fair Winds & Good Sailing,

Roger

Vice Commodore's Report

As I prepare this report, my boat is packed and ready to shove off in the morning for the AISC Memorial Weekend Cruise to Jekyll Island.

Our Commodore Roger Henderson and Charlie Stienkamp are sitting on Mary Wanda-er in the Bahamas filling up on rum punches.

The 1st four races of the 2006 season are over and we are planning the Poker Run to be held on July 15th with a barbeque to follow.

I am certain we will discuss the details of all of these at our June Meeting.

Clearly we have had a lot of activities thus far and there are many more planned. I am encouraged by the number of members participating in these events and I urge everyone to join in and have some fun.

Don't forget to come to the June meeting where I am certain we will hear both cruise and race stories.

See you there!

John

If you change your e-mail address, please let met know.  The Forum is back on line.  The options have been reduced as suggested during the May meeting.
