site. The Scuttlebutt is also e-mailed
to each member who has submitted an e-mail address. A few
hard copies of the Scuttlebutt are available at the meetings. A Calendar has been added to the website,

I
am working on the Charleston Cruise scheduled for the end of March and a couple
of days in April. Not a lot of boats scheduled to go but I will be out there
leading the charge.

The
annual running of the Ice Bucket Regatta was held on the crisp cool morning of
Feb.19th. The winds defied the light forecast and held steady but spotty at
about 10kts from the N. and NE. With the tide ebbing at the start and flowing
at the finish, we had the rare opportunity the place both the start and the
finish lines off the downtown marina!
The start was tough in the light winds with Nightflyer first across the
line followed closely by Cheese Boat and Skimmer. The first mark was R-18 near
the end of the jetties, which lead to a long tactical challenge around the fort
and down the channel. First boat around the mark was Skimmer by a good
margin. Second around was
